claude chatelier
Claude Chatelier is an artisan cognac from Maison Ferrand that combines traditional French values with precision craftsmanship. The brand's name is a tribute to the historic Cistercian Abbey of l'Abbaye des Chateliers, which played an important role in the early development of distilling in the Cognac region. Created in 1989 under the direction of Alexandre Gabriel, the brand carries a spirit of patience and artisanal precision, symbolised by its emblem - the grey heron.
Claude Chatelier cognacs are made from the grapes of the best cru regions and are distilled in traditional 25 hectolitre copper pot stills. They are aged first in coarse-textured Limousin oak barrels, then in Tronçais oak barrels, which bring out finer tannins. The result is an elegant, balanced cognac with authentic style and deep aromatics that is perfect for both pure tasting and sophisticated cocktails.
