Eminente is a premium Cuban rum that embodies a modern approach to traditional craft. It is produced exclusively in Cuba under the direction of César Martí, one of the few holders of the title Primer Maestro del Ron Cubano. The uniqueness of Eminente lies in its exceptionally high aguardiente content. Aguardiente (translated as 'fire water') is a traditional cane spirit with a high content of aromatic components, which is produced by slow fermentation and slow distillation to a low alcohol content. This produces a rum with a rich body, a distinctive structure and an exceptionally long finish.
The brand prides itself on artisanal production - from locally grown sugar cane to eco-friendly packaging with recyclable materials. Eminente is one of only a handful of rums to carry the D.O.P. Ron de Cuba Protected Designation of Origin, which guarantees that the entire production process takes place entirely on Cuban soil.
The portfolio includes Eminente Reserva (7 years aging, 70% aguardiente), the finer Ámbar Claro (3 years, 30% aguardiente) and Gran Reserva Edition N°1 (10 years, 80% aguardiente). All the rums are well balanced, with notes of chocolate, roasted coffee, green apple, sandalwood or almond, and are great for sipping in cocktails such as daiquiris or canchánchara.
